| Rolling grasslands, oak dotted hillsides and canyons, plus an abundance of mesquite and yucca, make up the topography. Windmills on the horizon, antelope grazing, coyotes, and cattle make Sonoita a true "Home on the Range." | ||
| Sonoita's history as a ranching community is still very apparent. The area has some of the finest ranches in the southwest, with specially bred cattle and quarter horses. | ||
| Construction activity has greatly increased in the past few years with the continued development of several new planned communities. Also, recent interests in the wine industry have added to the diversity of the region. | ||
|
Community activities in the area include; golf, hiking, bird watching, boating, county horse racing, the county fair, labor day rodeo, and the wine festival. Several bed & breakfasts are available for planned visits. |
